Our approach to fees

We believe good financial advice should be transparent, fair and aligned to the value it provides. Because no two clients are the same, the cost of advice can vary depending on your circumstances, the complexity of your needs and the level of support you require.

Our fees reflect the advice and support you receive. Our charges are calculated as a percentage of the assets involved, and we’ll explain the costs in full before you decide to proceed.

Discovery meeting

Your initial consultation is provided at no cost. This meeting allows us to understand your circumstances, goals and priorities, while giving you the opportunity to see how we work and whether we’re the right fit for you.

Following this meeting, there is no obligation to proceed.

Ongoing advice

Financial planning is an ongoing process that evolves as your life and circumstances change.

For clients who choose to work with us long term, we offer ongoing support tailored to your needs. This can range from regular reviews and investment oversight to more comprehensive planning covering areas such as tax, retirement and estate planning.

Where ongoing support is appropriate, we offer different levels of service depending on the complexity of your needs:

Basic service

typically for clients with straightforward arrangements.

This service includes:

Annual suitability review
Review of aims and objectives
Attitude to risk reassessment
Investment valuation and performance
Fund updates and market commentary
ISA allowance planning
Access to your adviser between reviews

Holistic service

for clients requiring broader, more in-depth planning.

This service includes everything in Basic, plus:

Adjustments to contributions or withdrawals
Broader tax-efficient planning (including pensions)
Cashflow modelling (updated annually)
Consideration of taxation and legislative changes
Ethical investment considerations

I found him via reviews and have never regretted the choice for what has been a complicated setting up of a post-divorce annuity. He came twice to the house for meetings which was much appreciated. He is patient, emotionally-intelligent and never pushy; he  thinks about what is best for the client. He sources excellent products, explains his thinking; he follows up, is pro-active. While being clear, concise and in control he is always warm and friendly.
